Hull’s Meatball Casserole

Ingredients

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 pack of Hull’s Platinum Steak Meatballs
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (such as penne or rotini)
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Meatballs:

  • In a pan, brown the meatballs on all sides over medium heat until cooked through.
    • Remove the meatballs from the pan and set aside.

Prepare the Sauce:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
    • Stir until the herbs and spices are evenly distributed.

Assemble the Casserole:

  • In a baking dish, spread half of the cooked pasta on the bottom.
    • Place the cooked meatballs on top of the pasta.
    • Pour the tomato sauce mixture evenly over the meatballs.

Add Cheese:

  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top of the casserole.

Bake:

  • Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve

  • Remove the casserole from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
    • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley, if desired.
