Ingredients
For the Pizza Dough:
- 400ml warm water (approx. 43°C)
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
For the Pizza Toppings:
- 1 packet of Hull’s Platinum Steak Meatballs
- 1 packet of your favourite Hull’s Sausages
- 300ml pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
- Red pepper flakes and grated Parmesan for serving
Instructions
For the Pizza Dough:
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the centre and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix until the dough comes together, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.
For Sausages and Meatballs:
- Cook sausages and meatballs in line with packaging instructions. We recommend frying or grilling until thoroughly cooked.
- Slice and set aside for assembling onto pizza topping
For Assembling and Baking the Pizza:
- Preheat your oven to 245°C.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
- Distribute the sliced meatballs, crumbled sausage, sliced red onion, and bell pepper evenly over the cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove the pizza from the oven, sprinkle fresh basil leaves (if using), and season with red pepper flakes and additional grated Parmesan to taste.
- Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
Serve
Slice the Meatball and Sausage Homemade Pizza and serve in slices. Serve with your choice of side and dips.
