Hull’s Mega-Meat Pizza

Ingredients

For the Pizza Dough:

  • 400ml warm water (approx. 43°C)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

For the Pizza Toppings:

  • 1 packet of Hull’s Platinum Steak Meatballs
  • 1 packet of your favourite Hull’s Sausages
  • 300ml pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes and grated Parmesan for serving

Instructions

For the Pizza Dough:

  1. In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the centre and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until the dough comes together, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until it doubles in size.

For Sausages and Meatballs:

  1. Cook sausages and meatballs in line with packaging instructions. We recommend frying or grilling until thoroughly cooked.
  2. Slice and set aside for assembling onto pizza topping

For Assembling and Baking the Pizza:

  1. Preheat your oven to 245°C.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza stone or a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese over the sauce.
  6. Distribute the sliced meatballs, crumbled sausage, sliced red onion, and bell pepper evenly over the cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
  8. Remove the pizza from the oven, sprinkle fresh basil leaves (if using), and season with red pepper flakes and additional grated Parmesan to taste.
  9. Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Serve

Slice the Meatball and Sausage Homemade Pizza and serve in slices. Serve with your choice of side and dips.
