Ingredients
- 1 pack Hulls Platinum Steak Meatballs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound spaghetti
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese for topping
Instructions
Cook the Meatballs:
- In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the Hull’s meatballs and brown on all sides, ensuring they are cooked through.
- Remove the meatballs from the pan and set them aside.
Prepare the Tomato Sauce:
- In the same pan, add more olive oil if needed.
- Sauté chopped onion until softened, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes, allowing it to thicken and flavours to meld.
Cook the Spaghetti:
- Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and set aside.
Combine Meatballs, Sauce, and Spaghetti:
- Add the cooked meatballs to the tomato sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve
- Place a portion of spaghetti on each plate.
- Top with meatballs and sauce.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Serve immediately and enjoy this classic and comforting meatballs and spaghetti dish!
