Hull’s Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Hulls Platinum Steak Meatballs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for topping

Instructions

Cook the Meatballs:

  • In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
    • Add the Hull’s meatballs and brown on all sides, ensuring they are cooked through.
    • Remove the meatballs from the pan and set them aside.

Prepare the Tomato Sauce:

  • In the same pan, add more olive oil if needed.
    • Sauté chopped onion until softened, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
    • Add crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, dried oregano, dried basil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
    • Simmer the sauce for 15-20 minutes, allowing it to thicken and flavours to meld.

Cook the Spaghetti:

  • Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente.
    • Drain the pasta and set aside.

Combine Meatballs, Sauce, and Spaghetti:

  • Add the cooked meatballs to the tomato sauce and let them simmer together for an additional 10 minutes.

Serve

  • Place a portion of spaghetti on each plate.
    • Top with meatballs and sauce.
    • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy this classic and comforting meatballs and spaghetti dish!
